One Minecraft video is calmer, but four videos center on graphic action combat.

What will your kid see in DanTDM’s Wolverine videos?

DanTDM's four Wolverine playthroughs include sustained fictional combat, killing, screams and dangerous experiments. Combat is central: Wolverine uses claws, throws, parries and finishing moves against enemies. This is fictional game content, not real-world violence by DanTDM, but the game includes screams, killing and attacks with guns, chainsaws and environmental hazards.

The violence can be graphic. In the first Wolverine video, Dan reacts to abundant blood and attacks that remove body parts. Part 2 includes exposed muscle, characters being shot and limbs or a neck severed. The first Wolverine video also contains a grim fictional survival story about starvation, dead bodies and nearly eating a corpse. These scenes give parents a clear reason to keep the series for teens or supervise closely.

Are the stories in DanTDM’s Wolverine videos upsetting?

Yes. DanTDM’s Wolverine stories include a child character’s death, hostages and forced experiments that can be fatal. Mutants are hunted, captured or threatened, and one villain says he wants someone alive but broken. In the final upload, Walter becomes a monster and characters worry that more people will be enslaved or changed. These fictional events may upset a child who is sensitive to danger or cruelty.

Mild and stronger language also appears in the Wolverine sample. The dialogue includes “God damn it,” “damn,” “hell,” “piss off,” and a censored use of a stronger phrase before a character says they should start killing. If your kid repeats game dialogue or is bothered by harsh threats, watch an early section with your kid before committing to a full episode.

Is DanTDM’s Minecraft moving-house video a better choice?

Yes. DanTDM's Minecraft moving-house video is a calmer choice than the four Wolverine playthroughs in this review. Dan returns to a vanilla world, moves his in-game villager Fungo, builds a carrot-delivery system with minecarts and hoppers, and finishes a diamond-shaped lake for an axolotl named Skid. It is mainly about building, resource gathering and playful commentary.

Minecraft still has mild fantasy peril. Dan fights hostile mobs in the Nether, worries about being shot from a bridge, uses fire in combat and talks about clearing zombie pigmen. He also frames rescuing and housing an axolotl as a goal. That makes this a reasonable first preview if your kid likes Minecraft, while the Wolverine series is a separate, much more intense viewing choice.
