Privacy policy

What we collect and why

We use your email address and account details to sign you in and contact you. We save the child nicknames and age groups you choose to provide, your selected YouTube channels and TikTok/Instagram accounts, report preferences, and reports to deliver the service. You can use a nickname instead of a child’s real name.

We keep subscription and payment status to manage access and billing. Our payment processor handles card details. We also process basic connection, security, and email delivery information to prevent abuse and fix problems. If you contact support, we use your message to help you.

We use website analytics to count page visits and understand how people move through signup. Analytics events do not include your email, family details, selected accounts, or report content. We remove query parameters and fragments from page addresses sent to our website analytics provider.

When ad measurement is on, we use the Meta Pixel to measure selected page visits, checkout attempts and confirmed free trials from our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta receives browser and connection information, cookie identifiers, page addresses and those events, and may associate them with your Meta account and use them for advertising measurement and delivery. Campaign identifiers can be included in page addresses. We disable automatic form-data collection and do not add your email address, names, family details, account selections or report contents to these events. We do not send events from your private dashboard or reports.

We also use the Reddit Pixel for selected public page visits and confirmed new account signups. Our server sends confirmed signups to Reddit’s Conversions API. Reddit receives the event time, public page address, browser information, available Reddit click and cookie identifiers, and an opaque conversion identifier so a signup is counted once. Reddit may associate this information with your Reddit account for advertising measurement and delivery. These events use the same ad measurement choice below. We do not add email addresses, phone numbers, family details, selected accounts or report contents.

Microsoft Universal Event Tracking measures selected public page visits and confirmed free trials from our Microsoft Advertising campaigns. Microsoft receives browser and connection information, cookie and ad click identifiers, public page addresses and those events. It may use this information for advertising measurement and delivery. We do not send family details, selected accounts, report contents, email addresses or phone numbers in these events. Automatic form tracking and Microsoft Clarity session recording are disabled. Your ad measurement choice below also applies to Microsoft.

Free video checks

The free YouTube video checker does not require an account. We use an essential browser cookie and a protected identifier derived from your IP address to apply the daily limit and prevent repeated automated requests. We do not store the raw IP address in the checker’s limit records.

We send the video link to our video data provider and its spoken content to TypeSafe AI through Vercel AI Gateway to check for concerns. We cache the video’s results so the same video does not need to be analyzed again for each visitor. The checker’s analytics events do not include video links, selected concerns or result content.

Children and privacy

Accounts are for adults. We do not require a child’s social media login, install anything on their device, or collect their private messages or personal watch history. Reports concern the public YouTube channels and TikTok/Instagram accounts you select; they do not tell us what your child actually watched.

Who receives information

We use service providers for hosting, sign-in, payments, email, analytics, and preparing reports. They receive information needed for those services and may process it internationally. We do not sell your personal information. When ad measurement is on, the information described above is shared with Meta, Reddit and Microsoft for advertising purposes. You can turn it off using Ad privacy choices. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections.

How long we keep it

Your profile and preferences stay while your account exists. Reports are kept for up to one year. Copies of report emails stored in our sending system are removed after 30 days; emails already in your inbox remain under your control.

When you delete your account, we stop monitoring and remove your profile, family details, saved selections, and reports from our active systems, normally within 30 days. A limited record of the deletion is kept for a further 30 days. Payment, security, support, or legal records may be retained where needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse. Service providers may retain records under their own applicable obligations.

Your choices

You can edit family details and report preferences in Settings and Children, stop report emails, and delete your account. Contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information, or to exercise other privacy rights available to you. We may need to confirm your identity.

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember setup progress. We take reasonable steps to protect information, though no online service can guarantee complete security. We will update this page when practices change and notify you of material changes when appropriate.

Ad measurement is on by default. Your saved choice is remembered for up to six months in this browser. You can change it below or through Ad privacy choices in the site footer. We also keep ad measurement off when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Turning it off does not affect access to Nona.
