Is Sketch safe for kids?

For most younger kids, skip these Sketch videos because the five videos analyzed include frightening fictional monster and zombie combat, guns, deaths, profanity, and a joke that imitates unsafe computer-download advice. Older kids who already play Roblox horror games may be able to watch with you, but preview the survival videos and discuss the Vortex joke first.

What age is Sketch appropriate for?

Ages 7 and under: Skip this for young kids. The monster games use scares, weapons, pursuit, and fictional deaths. Ages 8–10: Preview the video first. Roblox commentary is easier, but horror scenes and profanity need context. Ages 11–13: Watch with your kid. Discuss game violence, rude wording, and why unsafe download advice is a joke. Ages 14–17: Watch with your kid. The videos fit many teens, but the horror and computer-security joke still merit a quick check-in.

Can your kid handle Sketch’s zombie and monster games?

Sketch’s Last Stop video may be too frightening for young kids: it includes zombie attacks, firearms, deaths and panicked shouting. Traveling 100,000 Meters in Last Stop is a fictional Roblox zombie-apocalypse journey with nighttime attacks, panicked shouting, enemies boarding a bus, and characters who die. Gameplay also includes shooting zombies and bosses with firearms, including a machine gun, plus a story moment about a child trapped in a cage.

ROBLOX QUIET PLACE IS EASY is also fictional survival horror, based on a monster premise in which sound attracts dangerous creatures. Players hide, flee, scream when frightened, and use knives, guns, mines, grenades, and a rocket launcher against monsters. A joking exchange tells players to shoot another named player on sight, so remind your kid that this is game roleplay, not a model for treating people in multiplayer games.

What should parents check in Sketch’s Roblox commentary?

Sketch’s bot video needs a conversation about unofficial item sellers, automated accounts and cheating. Sketch explains automated accounts collecting coins in Murder Mystery 2 to obtain crates and weapon skins that may be resold through third-party sites. This can be a useful opening to tell your kid not to buy virtual items from unofficial sellers or copy cheating and botting behavior. The video includes the phrase “swear to god.”

Roblox is doomed... so he remade it follows Vortex, an independently made Roblox-like project. It contains profanity while criticizing Roblox updates. More notably, it includes a deliberately bad fake tutorial telling viewers to ignore a virus warning and store passwords in a desktop text file; later in the video, Sketch says not to download Vortex at that point. Make sure your kid understands the joke is not valid computer advice: warnings, passwords, and downloads should be handled with you or another trusted adult.

Is Games with 0 Dislikes a better starting point for your kid?

Yes. Sketch’s Games with 0 Dislikes is a lower-intensity starting point than the survival-horror videos, though it still includes rude language. Sketch tries small games and decides whether to leave a dislike. One Spanish-learning game has players hover over objects for vocabulary, while Infinite Dig is a mining and upgrade game. Even here, expect some rude language and a complaint about an item said to cost real money in Adopt Me; there is also fictional driving mishap and a “death pit” joke inside a game.

Start with the Spanish-learning or mining portions of Games with 0 Dislikes if you want a calmer preview. Before a survival video, ask your kid whether monster chases, guns, and fictional deaths feel fun or too intense; before the Vortex video, state the family rule that your kid asks you before downloading unfamiliar programs or entering passwords.
